Who this is

steelhone.com is run by Chris Denny, trading as Steelhone, a sole trader in Sheffield, UK. For anything on this page, or to use any of the rights below, email [email protected].

What this site collects

Very little. There are no cookies, no visitor tracking and no forms that send data to me.

Hosting. The site is hosted by Cloudflare, which processes technical details such as your IP address when you visit, as any web host does.

Fonts. The typefaces load from Google Fonts, which also receives your IP address.

The health check. The 10-question health check runs entirely in your browser. Your answers aren't sent anywhere or stored, and they're gone when you close the page.

Booking a call. The "Book a call" links go to a Google Calendar booking page hosted by Google, not this site. Google asks for your name and email address, plus anything you choose to add, so the call can be scheduled. Google's own policy is at policies.google.com/privacy.

Email. If you email me, the message is held in Google Workspace.

Why

Booking and email details are used only to reply to you, hold the call, and quote for or carry out an audit. Nothing is used for marketing, sold or shared beyond the services named above.

How long it's kept

Only as long as needed to reply to you. If we work together, for the length of that work plus whatever HMRC requires for tax records. You can ask for deletion at any time.

Your rights

Under UK GDPR you can ask what personal data I hold about you, ask for it to be corrected or deleted, and object to how it's used. Email [email protected]. If you're not happy with the reply, you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk.

Changes

If this page changes, the date at the top changes with it.
